• Ashley and Josh 9.20

It's challenging to come up with enough words to describe how simply amazing Josh and Ashley's wedding day at Villa Parker was.  Perfect weather, a dream team of creative wedding partners, personalized touches around every corner, a stunning bride and a charming handsome groom.

Ashley and Josh, it was a joy and honor to be part of your wedding day!  We hope the past year has been filled with love, laughter and endless magical memories! xoxoxo

Q & A with Ashley about her experience at Villa Parker

Q:  What was your favorite Mr. and Mrs. moment from your wedding day?

A:  I have two favorite moments.  First, I absolutely loved our ceremony because my stepfather officiated our ceremony and we wrote our own vows.  It was so special I will never forget it.  It was not cookie-cutter at all and that meant a lot to me.  Second, when I saw the look on his face when Adam Carolla came over the speakers during our toasts.  I surprised him by getting his favorite comedian (Adam Carolla) to record a congratulations piece for our wedding.  His face just LIT UP!

Q:  What advice do you have for brides currently in the planning process?

A:  Always remember during all the hustle and bustle trying to plan a seamless and beautiful wedding, that at the end of the day it's about celebrating the love between you and your husband-to-be.  Remember to stop and take some time during the special day just for you two.

    Q:  What inspired your wedding?

A:  We wanted our wedding to have an elegant Italian-inspired romantic feel coupled with a little Colorado charm.  We brought in bold colors like charcoal grey and plum purple, placed fresh flowers throughout, served a delicious plated dinner and danced the night away under twinkling lights.

Q:  Tell us about your little white dress.....

A:  My dress was beautifully designed by Oleg Cassini.  The dress featured a strapless satin bodice with lace and beaded appliqués, a mermaid-flared skirt and buttons that ran the length of the train.

Q:  What attracted you to Villa Parker?

A:  We were looking for a venue that had a very unique and personal feel to it, something that was warm and inviting and had character all on its own.  We wanted something private that just the two of us and our guests could enjoy for the evening.  Villa Parker truly was the best choice for us.  We were whisked away to Italy for our wedding night without ever leaving the state!  To top it all off, the staff was incredible and made our day truly special.

Get ready to ooooh and aaaah over every beautiful, intricate and perfect detail of Maggie and Brad's dreamy wedding day!  The handmade touches, vintage accents and DIY decor left me speechlessness!

Maggie and Brad's wedding day described by LisaAnne, the photographer...

"I knew from the moment I met Maggie and Brad during our engagement session that their wedding was going to be completely lovely!  Maggie and Brad are simply made for each outher!  Brad's vows to her even started, "I Brad, take you Maggie, to be exactly who you are..." I love that!

This wedding was held in Denver at the lovely Villa Parker venue.  Maggie hand-made her fantastic brooch bouquet and all her bouquets for her Bridesmaids and Brad knew he wanted to wear his best jeans and fantastically big belt buckly!  I love when people stay true to who they are on their wedding.  That day started with pouring rain...but luckilly it all cleared up for a lovely time for the outdoor ceremony!  The reception was filled with yummy BBQ, scrumptious bundt cakes and sparklers to send them off on their new married life adventures!"

Q & A with Maggie about her experience at Villa Parker

Q:  What was your favorite Mr. and Mrs. moment from your wedding day?

A:  The whole day went by so quickly, I didn't want it to end!  My favorite part of our wedding day was our exit.  We walked out to all our closest loved ones holding sparklers and cheering us on.  Not to sound cheesy, but it was a magical moment.  It was so amazing to see this wonderful support group that we have and so many people that believe in us and our marriage and that we were finally Mr. and Mrs.

Q:  What advice do you have for brides currently in the planning process?

A:  Easier said than done, but don't get stressed.  This is one of the most exciting times in your life, so enjoy every moment and don't sweat the small stuff.  In the end it will all work out, so have as much fun as possible.

    Q:  What inspired your wedding?

A:  We knew we wanted to wear cowboy boots to our wedding, so we kind of planned everything around that.  It was very much a DIY wedding, and I will forever be grateful to my mom who is so talented and worked so tirelessly on everything from the paper flower centerpieces to my brooch bouquet which included some of my grandma's jewelry.

Q:  Tell us about your little white dress?

A:  My dress was the third one I tried on and wasn't the one that I had picked out.  However, as soon as I put it on I knew it was the one.  I wanted lace with vintage almost ethereal look and that dress embodied all of those things and more.

Q:  What attracted you to Villa Parker?

A:  We spent a great deal of time looking for a "rustic" venue, but found a lot of the places we looked at really were too rustic.  The Villa is a beautiful place, and once you step through the gates it's like being in a different world.  The service we received from the first time we toured the Villa with Karen and then the assistance we received from Erika throughout the process went above and beyond anything we had experienced.  We didn't feel like we were just another wedding of many, we felt special and they understood and valued that this was going to be one of the most important days of our lives.

See what Maggie wrote about her experience on the knot:

"The Villa was good to us throughout the entire process.  We booked a year in advance and throughout the time the Villa, especially Erika and Karen, kept in touch with us and involved us in all the events at the venue.  They have Tastings during the off-season that really showcase the venue decorated beautifully with great food and vendors.  They really make you feel special and work very hard to make your wedding your own.  I have nothing but wonderful things to say about them, I'm just sorry it's over!  I would recommend them to anyone.  They have vendors that they recommend, but you're not required to use them.  We used an outside caterer and there was a fee for that but it still ended up being cheaper than using a traditional caterer and everything worked out very well.  The various ceremony sites are great and the Villa truly is a place where you can customize what you want because there are so many options.  Erika was wonderful to work with, she offered suggestions and ideas for the decor and she made sure that everything flowed flawlessly.  It was such an amazing experience."

  • Amy and Alex 6.5

Amy and Alex...where do I begin?  Amy and Alex were high school sweethearts and attended their Prom with Lutheran High School at Villa Parker!  Seriously, how amazing is that?!  I fell in love with Amy and her mother Dottie immediately and was so excited for the possibility of hosting their wedding at Villa Parker...I felt like the I was the one hoping she'd say yes!  Their celebration was one of family, friends and above all love!

Q & A with Amy about her experience at Villa Parker

Q:  What was your favorite Mr. and Mrs. moment from your wedding day?

A:  My favorite moment is hard to pick because our day at the Villa was perfect.  One of my favorite moments was when I got to see my husband for the first time.  We chose to have a first look and it was the best decision we made.  I was so nervous and getting to spend that 10 minutes alone with Alex was so calming and so special.  I also loved the bridal suite.  I have so many wonderful memories with my girlfriend and my mom in that beautiful space!

Q:  What advice do you have for brides currently in the planning process?

A:  The planning process can be so overwhelming.  It is also really exciting.  It is important to remember that your family and friends opinions are only there to be helpful.  Ultimately, it is YOUR day and you deserve to get what you want!  Remember that all the planning and work you put in matters but when the day comes to enjoy it and celebrate with your loved ones.  Focus on your new marriage and the journey you and husband are about to begin!

    Q:  What inspired your wedding?

A:  My wedding was inspired by many things but I am a strong Christian and my wedding was inspired by our relationship with our Lord and Savior.  We wanted to make sure that we focused on our beliefs.  We also wanted to make sure we celebrated in the best way possible with our family and friends.  I also love the color pink so our colors were pink and gray!  It was so beautiful!

Q:  Tell us about your little white dress...

A:  My dress was from a boutique in Castle Rock called Blue.  It was the perfect place for me to pick out my dress.  It was an intimate setting.  My dress was simple, white and fitted.  I loved the covered buttons down the back.  My favorite part was the beaded sash around my waist that was the perfect amount of sparkle that I can actually wear for anniversary dinners and other occasions.  I loved my dress and my day was perfect because of it!

Q:  What attracted you to Villa Parker?

A:  The Villa was the only venue in the Parker/Denver area that I could picture my dat at.  I visited plenty of places and the Villa was the obvious choice.  It was romantic and intimate.  The pictures were exactly what I wanted for our day.  The showed how beautiful the Colorado landscape really is.  The Villa also has the best staff in Denver.  The helped my planning process be simple, easy and painless.  They helped move our day along without any problems.  The staff at the Villa are second to none.  They truly made our day the best of our lives!
